Everybody needs to go to the Drudge Report website and wake him up to what's going on with Ron Paul right now...

At the bottom of the page, he's got the "send a tip" box. We need to start tipping him on the excitement going on in the campaign right now... In two days we've raised $300k and are well on our way to surpassing the goal of $500k. Let Matt know this in your own words, and drop him a link the the Ron Paul front page!

Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!

Matt Drudge is not very far off of political alignment with Ron Paul.

We need to keep banging him with news that makes Ron Paul look like the viable candidate that he is... Matt Drudge could eventually turn into our biggest ally.

Keep banging him with this news people. He needs a steady drum beat to let him know that people care about this.

I just sent him a message, too. But I've been hearing a LOT of "the American people are already sick of hearing about the election...blah, blah, blah." Seems like this is the new mantra to keep the reporting down....It also seems to coincide with Ron Paul's rising popularity. Anyone else notice this?

Reason Magazine thinks Drudge is a libertarian? They have found reasons to think that every conservative warmongering loser on earth is a libertarian over the years. It is a peculiar deficiency of libertarianism that it causes people to grasp at any hope that some famous person or politician is "libertarian." It is not true and has never been true of any of the people who have been labeled thusly.

Ron Paul is a libertarian.
Drew Carey is a libertarian.
David Letterman is a libertarian.
Penn Jilette is a libertarian.

These people have self-identified in the past as libertarians or have stated their belief in some sort of coherent libertarian philosophy. All the rest are NOT libertarian in any way. They are all some sort of conservative or neo-conservative. And that is just as far from being a libertarian as a socialist is.

Uh guys? Matt Drudge is in his own universe. Not in some power universe, he just completely does his own thing.

Did you ever read Phil Weiss' piece on him?

It's long, but it accurately portrays Drudge for what he is -- a completely bizarre, unknown quantity.

Who cares... The fact is, he's a power broker in the media, and we need to keep banging him...

Drudge as been shown as the least biased media source in the last year. His headlines may be overblown but he simply links to other columns and I've seen everything from Slate to Rush. Drudge is a great source of information.

Hey guys - Matt Drudge doesn't post emails on his site. If you want him to post something, you have to email a link to another site. Then it'll be more likely to show up drudgereport.com.

You don't think he'll use a link to Ron Paul's official site showing the counter? That's what I'd been posting.

Anyone recommend a story we should be using?

Maybe we just have to wait until we get the $1 million tomorrow and look for mainstream press accounts?
