It was in good hands with Ross Perot, I hope it stays here in these united States.

O, the irony: Our government just treats it like an irrelevant old piece of paper, time to sell it off.

If I had both Ross Perot's money and that copy of the Magna Carta I would give the Magna Carta to the people of the United States. It would stay on display translated in every language. I would take cash out of my pocket for those things Ross says he's raising money for.

If this only American copy leaves the US I think he's going to get some flack for this. I'm disappointed.

Perhaps RP will make a big donation to RP from the proceeds ;-)

Maybe we should e-mail the other RP and ask him to donate to our RP to help him get elected.

Oh the irony... RP getting elected from the proceeds of the sale of one of the most important documents in history....

Just one of a little over a dozen copies still in existence.

I would give it back to the British people and remind them of their lost freedom.

I think they got it worse then us as far as freedoms. Big brother is prominent there.

Hence the reminder.

Ross Perot doesn't have much in common with Ron Paul. Ever read up on the Reform Party? It has a horrid platform

I'm 25 and wasn't politically aware when Ross was running, but if I remember he wanted to reduce/eliminate the federal deficit. Sound like anyone we know?
