So my father just called and told me that my grandfather received a letter from his doctor yesterday telling my grandfather that if Obama's health care plan gets passed he will be closing his practice :mad:

I'm glad his doctor sent out that letter, maybe it will get old people off their asses to call their congress critters to stop this plan.

Edit: All the email and letter info:

Well I got the email from my grand father here is the contents of the email. (yes I told him I would be posting it here, and he encouraged me to do so)

Hi Sam,
Your Dad just called me and asked if I would send a copy of the letter I got from my Urologist, Dr. Robert Kester from Central Maine Urology regarding the stand he will take if the proposed Obama and democrat health bill is enacted. As you can see, this will be a disaster for many many Senior Citizens should this action be taken by a great many Physicians in this country. What a shame that this health care proposal which will bankrupt not only the Senior Citizens, but our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren for many years to come.

Please use my name if you care to

Please note his phone number on the attachment.

Feel free to have anyone contact me regarding this letter. I am vehemently opposed to this nationalization of healthcare by the Obama gang. This is socialism of the first order and will prove a disaster for the American people and needs to stopped!!
Thanks for letting me get this to you, Sam.

He should contact his doctor and the two of them should send a joint-letter to Congress about that. Maybe even one of the Fox News shows would be willing to have the doctor on to talk about it.

Is there any chance you can post the letter and redact out the names and addresses? This should go viral.

Fla. doctor resigns from post over Obama image

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A Florida neurosurgeon has resigned from his post with a county medical association after forwarding an e-mail with an image portraying President Barack Obama as a witch doctor.

Dr. David McKalip submitted his resignation as president-elect of the Pinellas County Medical Association last week, and plans to remove himself as a delegate with the American Medical Association.

McKalip forwarded an image depicting Obama in a loincloth and with bones in his nose. The caption read, "ObamaCare, coming soon to a clinic near you," and was forwarded to about 150 people.

The doctor has apologized for his actions, telling a Tampa radio station it was a "very bad mistake."

I'm sure the doctor has money and doesn't need to worry about making a buck in retirement. Doctors make good money and it's well deserved. I want big bucks for spending 8 years of my life in school and at least 2 in residency making shit money. This is why I don't see the medical field lasting that long in America. Nobody is going to waste 10 years of their life for $100,000 a year. They will become engineers instead or something else. IMHO.

Doctors on Strike For Freedom in Medicine (http://www.doctorsonstrike.com/)

Doctors on Strike for Freedom in Medicine is a private, nonprofit, educational, and partisan-activist organization founded by Dr. Gregory L. Garamoni on July 4, 2009, to take on the mission of preserving, protecting, and promoting freedom in healthcare in the United States of America. The founding of Doctors on Strike on Independence Day purposely coincides with the 233rd anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence in 1776.

Doctors on Strike is based on the principles recognized and published in our own founding document, the Declaration of Independence for Doctors:

That doctors and patients have the same inalienable individual rights that all citizens have -- the right to life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness;

That the purpose of government is to secure individual rights, not violate them;

That individual rights impose limitations on government;

That statism in healthcare violates individual rights;

That the statist healthcare proposals being advanced by the Administration and Congress would violate individual rights and gravely threaten the viability of the healthcare system;

That doctors, patients, and elected officials need to act — now — to preserve, protect, and promote individual rights and freedom in medicine.

Consistent with our educational mission, our long-term objective is to supply doctors and healthcare providers with the intellectual ammunition required to win the “philosophical war” against statism in medicine. We provide doctors and other healthcare providers with a principled, vigorous defense of freedom in medicine based a philosophy of rational self-interest, individualism, and laissez faire capitalism.

We stand with great appreciation on the shoulders of the many intellectual giants and nonpartisan organizations who, for many years now, have been educating the public about individual rights and freedom in medicine (American Enterprise Institute, Americans for Free Choice in Medicine, Ayn Rand Center for Individual Rights, Cato Institute, Freedom and Individual Rights in Medicine, The Heritage Foundation, and others).

What sets Doctors on Strike apart from these fine "nonpartisans" is that we are a partisan-activist organization that can "take the gloves off" to take on public officials without worrying about our tax-exempt status being revoked. This allows us the freedom to publish pointedly partisan pieces here that can't found elsewhere, including edgy satire and irreverent humor (see "Hey, ObamaCare, Are You Up for A Game of Chicken?"). We will try to strike an acceptable balance between the need for objectivity in thought and the need for passion in action in living our whole lives well, as both rational and political animals (as Aristotle would remind us). Our ideal is to be passionately reasonable and reasonable passionate.

Consistent with our partisan-activist mission, we will identify and work openly to support those candidates for elected offices at the state and federal level who champion individual rights and liberty in healthcare. We will also unhesitatingly identify and publicly target for defeat any candidates for elected offices who support statist public policies that violate individual rights and infringe on liberty in healthcare.

We have a more immediate, urgent goal for 2009: The defeat of the statist healthcare reform proposals presently circulating through Washington. We are calling on doctors to prepare themselves to go on strike against any more government-run healthcare programs. We are calling on doctors to let the country know now that doctors will go on strike if the President signs into law any legislation that establishes another government healthcare plan. By promising to go on strike before Congress votes, doctors send two powerful messages to the electorate and their elected officials:

Doctors will NOT participate in any new government healthcare plans, and

Doctors will also STOP participating in all other government healthcare programs, including, but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, and CHIPs.

jkm1864

I hope they all go on strike for what they believe in. When people pay outrageous sums in taxes for medical and can not get government healthcare the crap will hit the fan. Hell We might even see town hall meetings where the crooks get assaulted and tarred and feathered. Oh boy thats change I can believe in.
