It's now three minutes later and they're up almost another $11,000. This is unbelievable! A this rate, he may raise an extra million this week! The running total on the site is a great idea; it's hard to look at that and not get excited and want to donate more.

HOLY SHIT!

That's really all I can say. Did anyone guess that we would be pushing 300k later tonight probably.

Indeed a brilliant idea, lets go for 10 million in the next quarter.:)

Oh, we're going to blow past 300K tonight. I thought I was stretching it a little when I said we'd make 300K by midnight PST, but now it's clear we're going to make it by midnight EST -- he'll, I'm going out on a limb and calling for 400K by midnight PST tonight!

Come on West Coasters! :D

I swear, my plans for the evening are to sit here and watch that thermometer for the next 6 hours. Might go get a six pack for it!

Ok... who donated the 63 cents???!?!

EvilEngineer

The thing I like about the live dollar amount is the fact that there is no guessing if we are raising money or not. We SEE the money rolling in and it is encouraging.

If the rate of 10000 per hour continues they can add another million to the thermometer :)

Donate, donate, donate--this is crunch time! Third quarter will separate the men from the boys in terms of who has the funds to compete and who's support continues the upslope!

I really think we should go for the full mil.

If we made 270 in one day, and we have a 5 days left, we probably could make it

Holy Crap!

I'm stunned at how much the campaign has raised in just two days. Absolutely stunned and happy. Over a quarter of a million and the second day's not even over yet!

Lets raise another million by the end of the quarter!

A spike? you do realize we're raising somewhere around $10k per hour now? Where do you want it to spike from here?

I can only see the names, not the amount donated. And the text of the actual amount donated seems to be colored in a manner that makes it difficult to read.

As someone who has high expectations for the Ron Paul campaign, I'm honestly blown away at how much we're raising. I thought $500k was a stretch but doable -- now I think $1mln is a real possibility. Great stuff everyone.

hit reload back down to 256k

i honestly though the jump from 190k when the counter went down to 250k or so after it went back up was a bit too much personally

it was down for little over 3 hours and we jumped like 60k or 20k or so an hour this with website problems...we were averaging 8-10k a hour up till that point

this seems like a more valid number.

Thanks for the Thanks bbachtung. Those of us in the "Belly of the Beast" know how bad things are!

BTW, looks like the thermometer is running behind. No update since 7:21 ET. Now 7:41. Hopefully, they are swamped.
