The risks of e-cigarettes still don't compare to those of shelf-cigarettes. Keep in mind that the FDA still warns against cigarettes (far more fiercely) and that because it wouldn't be relevant to a warning about the dangers of e-cigs, the FDA purposely left out comparison to cigarettes.

Well, I must admit that I'm a bit concerned that most, if not all, of the liquid nicotine comes from RED China and we know what kind of history they have with regard to additives.

That said, I'm sure the tobacco lobby would be quite pleased to see the gummit crack down on 3-cigs.

By the way, most US commercial cigarette "tobacco" comes from third world countries where they have no restrictions on the herbicides and pesticides they use. They don't even use the actual tobacco... they take leftover tobacco waste like stems, seeds, etc, and mash it all together. Then they add various colors, flavors, nicotine, glue, and other chemicals to it. Then they form it into "sheet tobacco", cut it up, and that's the crap that goes into US commercial cigarettes.

Most US grown tobacco ends up going to other countries that have higher standards for their tobacco. Wonderful system, ain't it?

I think it's a pretty safe bet that e-liquid made in China is better for you than US cigarettes.
