My friend who is a Huckabee supporter (I'm working on him) told me Huck's fundraising drive to get 2,500 online contributions during the month of September was only 1,000 away as of noon today in a communication he received.

The Huck's pulled in 1,500 online contributions for September.

Be afraid, be verrry verrry afraid. :D

I'm hoping someone catches my sarcasm here, instead of launching into an unneeded lecture :)

I am betting when they changed the thermometer they broke something with the dollar amount display. Either that or when we hit $200,000 something was not fomratted properly to show it...

I second that. People are saying the counter has disappeared. Actually what has happened is that it's moving so fast it is no longer visible.:D

I was just at ronpaul2008.com and watched the counter jump from $250,000 to $500,000 at 5:17 P.M. Eastern time. :)

**Edit - uh, nevermind. Evidently if you watch it long enough it does that. Quirky thermometer.

The thermometer is broken now! Unless we already raised 500k which I doubt. Anyway, my goal at the begining of the day was 300,000. If we can get somewhere close to that then we should coast well above 500k.

Please spam other boards also about it, people must know that they have a chance!

NO SPAM!!!

If the message is well-written and fits in the forum sub-category, its okay. This criteria will be sufficient for tons of boards. e.g. Dairy Goat Forum: Current Events Personalize this one about the Animal ID system. That is perfectly fine.

I will be pissed-off if people start spamming the Cat Fancy forum under the Whiskas category. :D

Of course......Spam is in the eye of the beholder. The word gets overused now, I think.

We will have 500,000 by Thursday morning. The campaign needs to immediately raise this to 1,000,000 once we break 500,000. Imagine the headlines, 1 million dollars raised in 1 week. This will end the "stephanopolos" mantra of having no shot.

I have a quick question...:

Where to the "top tier" candidates get their money?!?!

NOBODY has more online support than Ron Paul, and yet those damn "front runners" still seem to be able to bring in large amounts of money (even from "grassroots" support)....

I just don't get it.

Corydoras

Where to the "top tier" candidates get their money?!?!

They get some rich supporters who get other rich people to donate. Frankly, we need more rich people backing Ron Paul, and also we need more bundlers.

The guest list for Oprah's $3 mil shindig for Obama was composed entirely of people who donated $2300 each.

America's favorite dictator was actually in Britian a few weeks ago raising money for his campaign. I wondered how much he raised???

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/politics/2003893046_rudy20.html Its ashame no one supports him in Iowa or america so he has to go to a foreign nation to get $1,000 per person. That to me is unpatriotic.

Permanent Resident green card holders are allowed also. The trip to England is just posturing. Ron Paul could fly to Finland if he wanted to and speak with lawmakers there.

Hook,

Apparently not. I remember him saying on the evening news that his primary reason for going was to raise money.

here is the two lines in the article:

But this was a campaign swing, however far from the cornfields of Iowa. Giuliani had money to raise, voters to impress and messages to hammer.

So he spent much of his afternoon in a hotel ballroom in Knightsbridge, a ritzy shopping district of London, with a few dozen well-heeled U.S. expatriates who paid $1,000 or more apiece to lunch with him

Giuliani supporters donate money because they see he is the frontrunner in the polls.

Paul supporters donate because they believe so strongly in Ron's message they would donate a kidney if they felt it would help him get elected. Our supporters are 10,000x as passionate.

Ron's supporters truly love America, love his message and are more than willing to sacrifice blood and treasure to further the campaign.

Does anyone here honestly think any supporters are willing to lay it all on the line to support Rudy Giuliani??????? Are his supporters willing to give up some luxuries or any seemingly small sum of money ($25) to help the Giuliani campaign? One of the best part about Ron's campaign is that you know when you give up $25 which is a huge sacrifice to a lot of folks, that you trust that Ron's campaign will spend it very wisely, and treasure your sacrifice---not blow it on a retarded consultant that isn't necessary.

That's why we'll be satisfied with our Q3 fundraising. Because people will give that extra bit knowing full well the campaign truly cares and treasures your contribution.

We are all part of something special here.
