Sounds like you're getting all utilitatarian on us. Next thing ya know, you'll be pricing freedom based on arbitrary measures of "utility". :eek:

Also, by the same token you would have to say that prisoners are "goods", slaves are "goods", children are "goods", etc.

Anything that is both desirable and scarce can operate according to these same economic laws. There's no shame in it; it's just the way it is.
