Oh please.

This is almost as retarded as the people getting emo over Obama's jet fuel costs to go overseas to be diplomatic with other countries.

Of all the things to be upset with the SSA over, this is not one of them.

This is seriously the equivalent to 6 inch crack in the side of a dam that has already completely broken.

This (http://cogsdev.110mb.com/cwcki/index.php/Chris) is even more depressing. His insanity is fueled by our tax dollars: Monthly Tugboat (http://cogsdev.110mb.com/cwcki/index.php/Monthly_tugboat)

You mean other than that it's a blatant double standard? Wells Fargo used to give away a yearly trip to it's "blue collar" type workers who performed exceptionally over the previous year as a reward for good work. When it reached the media it was portrayed as a "lavish executive retreat" and Wells was forced to scrap it amid political pressure and tell these hard working folks "too bad". Yet SSA employees should party at taxpayers expense with no outrage? BS.

Before the bailout or after?

If it was AFTER the bailout then I agree with the media on this one. Until you give all the money back you are considered a government employee IMO.

Somehow I don't believe it only cost a G per person. The government is never cost efficient.

It sounds to me the best way to relieve the stress of death threats is to elimate why you are getting death threats in the first place. SSN begone.

I didn't say I disagreed with the questioning of Wells trip, I disagree with the double standard. If the Wells trip is wrong, so is the SSA trip. If the AIG bonuses are wrong, so are the Freddie/Fannie bonuses, etc.

There's a gigantic double standard no one dares to broach.
