Police sealed off some of the entrances to the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday after apparent gunfire erupted a few blocks away.

C'mon, this is absolutely ridiculous.. its Washington D.C, isn't gunfire a couple blocks away an every week occurrence. wow, just wow.

They killed a guy for 'brandishing' a weapon. Those cops are just parasitic wastes of life.

It was a police chase after a car that went so far as to go the wrong way down one-way streets, and struck an officer... then once the vehicle was stopped the guy apparently got out and waved a weapon.

Make of it what you will, but that's fairly standard (to block certain areas) when someone's mobile with a weapon or acting crazy.

In DC, yes, but the blocks around the Capitol are usually very well secured.
