I sure hope they keep saying that our failing to save is their prime excuse for this crap. Because the Fed is what broke Americans of the habit of saving. I remember; it was the seventies and I was there. Bretton Woods went out the window. Inflation consumed all. Americans stopped being naive enough to save. No one to blame but Volcker.
