Hey TRT and Gang:

Another guy on another thread on here had a good point on an "epic video". Think Rand would go for a 15-20 sec script for one that we could turn over to the youtube guys to work on for the Bomb?

He's right, we need some sizzle here in a bad way for people who would donate but don't know about Rand. Sell the sizzle not the steak.

It's hard to get the "sound bites" when Rand isn't on national tv or not in a debate... and let's not mention killer text animation and artistic direction.:p

But, let's hear some suggestions... :D

Most politics (like it or not) is scripted:) I'm a sales exec. traveling the known world (I think).

You need something raw. Get a crowd of like mindeds together (even modest numbers can be squeezed in to look HUGE and LOUD). A SALES VIDEO IS WHAT WE NEED. What about this ... (of all people) I thought Harvey Milk had a great line that could be borrowed:

(standing at a potium ... passionate)

My name is Rand Paul and I'm here to recruit you!

I'm here to recruit you to the greatest cause ever known to mankind.

ta da ... roll in cut up clips of other cool speeches, music, etc, close with all info on money bomb. 30 seconds tops.

Cool. Not cool. Thoughts? Rands great, but need pazzazz for couch potato crowd. We've really got 7 seconds to sell this thing. You need a hook.

Turn the minds loose on the web that came up with some increadible vids for RP that really made the bombs go. Without them we wouldn't have got a third the cash. Tens of thousands of views before they were yanked. All they need is something more to work with. ELiberty ... there are dozens on very talented people on there that can be a huge resource for Rand. Sadly, that grasroots talent wasn't used much in the campaign and instead we got quite a few really lame ads early on.

Turn the minds loose on the web

GO! :p

Who are the ones that did some of the epic videos?

These are few of my favorites from Paulers. Most all of these had tens of thousands of views at one time or another. (youtube pulls videos for rediculous or sometimes no reason quite often as did many of these at one time or another then they loose all their hits)

As you can see, there are some very talented people on here within the RP faithful who would likely help Rand for free. Imagine some of these reduced to 60 second, hard hitting, ads.

Furthermore, I think a BIG mistake that RP's camp made was not harnessing the "power of web 3.0" if you will. There is a wealth of talent from the community that is largely untapped. RP (as well as Rand) could have used a "Liberty writer's group" to help with speeches, ads, one liners, quotes, etc. I'm (at heart) a Libertarian who's part of "the remnant", I write Op Eds for Liberty Magazine, Tennessean, etc. from time to time. Matt Collins has a lot of radio experience. There are a LOT of people like us that could add a big edge for free.
