Gone are the days when Sarah Palin was a dedicated GOP base hottie, now every political party in America including Dems could get a piece of her charm:

Palin Plans to Stay in Politics, Stump for Republicans and Democrats

Sunday, July 12, 2009

Brushing aside the criticisms of pundits and politicos, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she plans to jump immediately back into the national political fray - stumping for conservative issues and even Democrats - after she prematurely vacates her elected post at month's end, the Washington Times reported.

Well, at least she's pointing out that conservatism does not belong to any particular political party.

Yea, maybe she's learnt from her mistakes and have realizes that both major parties are deeply compromised and flawed.

What she is saying lnow sounds almost Libetarian in words. My problem with Palin's ideology (or lack of it) has been her own personal convictions, beliefs about key fiscal, foreign policy matters.

Exactly...but I cant help but wonder...what's her angle and where is she going with this?
Maybe a strengthening of third party with her as the catalyst?
It's possible with all her loyalists...could be a good thing in a couple respects.

My respect for her just went up a notch. Unfortunately, her inclusion of "strong defense" combined with what I've heard he say in the past about what that entails, does not engender much hope that this will turn out for the better.

this is bound to be a career-killer in the Republican party.

Yep LOL

There is not much room for another "Lieberman" in national politics. But then she was McCain VP, she is not taking a huge leap here exactly except perhaps for some of her hardcore fans.

you'd think the gop, after going through all that work making palin a celebrity, would have chosen an actual celebrity as their candidate to save time and effort.

Are few of you really falling for her???

Forget about her past political positions consider her lack of slightest knowledge about the real world! She hardly read any books yet she's a national level leader!!! ; and a corruption queen.

Mind you, I did not say I would support her.

I agree with her limited-government views, but not much of anything else.

She would need to have a major change and denounce many of her stances during the election for me to give her a second look.

Whatever I don't think she's running for office now. Just out there to help support small government. Sounds good to me.

Also because she is leaving office she's in a position where she has nothing to lose. She is much more free to speak honestly without as many repercussions on her career.

she could run on a third party ticket and give democrats stronger control of govt.

I am anything but a Palin fan but it is nice to see cracks appearing in the two party monopoly.

I like that she's flipping of the Beltway GOPers, who see everything in terms of the number of Rs and Ds in Congress and in the governors' mansions, etc., rather than principle.

has she noticed the 250 or so HOUSE members who co-signed Ron Paul's 1207...???
not all the co-signers were Republican! --- are these people some of the Democrats
and Independents or independents that Sarah Palin might go on the stump with???

Paul's for "strong defense" too. Basically, he calls for making America impregnable.

ahh junk news. all you have to do is sue her a few times and she will quit. vote for me in 2012 and i will be out by 2014. sounds like a great platform to start from! Vote Palin 2012-2014!!

i look forward to the gop nominating another losing candidate. you can count my republican vote on that!! if the gop is trying to lose republican votes. this is a good start!!

palin would get my vote if she was running for girl scout troop leader!! or mickey mouse club leader!!

palin makes women look ignorant! i can see it now. those UN countries are bringing law suits. so i stepped down! she cannot even finish her job in alaska yet she wants to be prez??? yeah sure!

maybe she is working on a paris hilton endorsement.

The GOP is nothing but people. If we show up and get elected, then WE become the GOP.

Celebrating the GOP nominating another neocon might sound good right now, because we're frustrated, but it certainly isn't going to do anything to help us reinstate the Constitution.

i hear you, sad part is almost 70% plus republicans would vote for her. we gotta long way to go. Not to mention all the "republican "folks are still endorsing neo-con leaders!

I cannot say there is any republicans to vote for in my district! though there will be some ron paul republicans running as dems in the front range i will do my best to support! As for our ron paul dems in lake county .He and others are getting transparency for our local county government! he did receive over 85% of the vote;)

The gop knows what it must do,but it does nothing! especially in my county! they love the gop platform so much they are about to drop under the 20% mark;) fine by me! our democratic party in lake county is more lp/republican then the gop/lp;)

the way i look at it is the good news about our gop, is that 1/3 are ron paul supporters and they do not vote for the republicans here;)

The US military is already far larger than it needs to be to fight of any conceivable conventional military threat.

What Palin wants is an aggressive policy of military adventurism.

Something tells me she isn't going to be stumping for Kucinich democrats. But rather Rockefeller dems.

After watching Beck state today, that Palin is a genius...

I believe we are watching in real time, the rise of the third party, which will be controlled by the powers that be, from its' inception...

I have to hand it to TPTB if this is their strategy. They certainly know how to cover all angles.

As soon as I saw this it was my gut reaction that this is what is going on. Not too far a reach considering Barr was accepted. I still fail to understand what is libertarian about Barr???

I am sick of playing cards with folks who load the deck.:(

What concerns me is that her views and ideological mindset does not seem very diff from that of Bush. Even Bush championed limited gov, but how can you possibly accomplish that when you also consider it Divine duty to carry out exansive invasions of other countries?

Both Bush and Palin have same belief systems on these issues from what I understand.

well the whole barr crap totally turned me off to the lp and i was a lp member for almost 12 yrs till i heard Ron Paul! now i have no 3rd party to go back to! so i am still registered republican but i am ready to help form a new coalition in colorado:)

I hope the LP is smarter this next primary and elects mary ruwart or someone along her lines. BARR IS NO LIBERTARIAN. The Lp convention was sad really. the lp got punked by barr and less votes in election . i wonder why;) i am glad libertarians see thru this gop/neo-con crap well at least some of them!
