It's not even the wealthy. It's the high-earners. But yeah, this sucks. Of course, a wealth tax would be even worse.

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but if every millionaire in America was taxed ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of their income this year, it wouldn't run the federal government for a week.

"Tax the rich" is Orwellian doublespeak for "tax the middle class".

The question now is whether the rich will allow themselves to be soaked or they will retaliate by earning less money, working less, taking more vacations, laying off employees, taking jobs overseas, etc.
According to a CNN exit poll, 52% of people making over $200,000 a year voted for Obama even though he made it absolutely clear he was going to raise their taxes.

The middle class will get "soaked" a lot more than the rich. There are not enough rich people in the country to run the government for more than a week.
