Benedict said "there is an urgent need of a true world political authority" whose task would be "to manage the global economy; to revive economies hit by the crisis; to avoid any deterioration of the present crisis and the greater imbalances that would result."

I should have figured it had already been covered.

I just got back in yesterday so I've been out of touch for last two weeks.

But I wanted to bring it up to rebut another member's comments, who insists that any talk of the obvious coming world government is pure "moonbattery" and should be shut up about.
