View Full Version : Web server help needed before we reach 50,000 meetup members

Ok all, I've been working on this project for a few weeks now but I've run into technical issues considering I've never run a web server with multiple users in this way before.

I already have the web server up, running JBoss and JSP with OpenLDAP. I was hoping to get to the point where several users could log in and update a listing of potential Ron Paul voters. Then, those Ron Paul supporters in those potential voters precinct could get a list of those voters and make sure that they get to the polls on election day.

For instance, I would enter my mother's name and address up in Indiana (I'm in Texas), maybe put a little note on her level of support. Then a Ron Paul supporter in her precinct would get that info when they log in. The night before the primaries they'd call her, and then that day call again or even go pick her up if necessary.

So basically from a programmer's level all is needed is a login for each person with a database where certain information is editable and viewable only by certain people.

Can anyone help me with this? I was hoping to release it at the point Ron Paul has 50,000 meetup members because my goal for the site is to get 50,000 people who are responsible for 20 people each (a lofty goal, but it would be great if we could get even close to it).

Let me know. Thanks.

A huge under taking indeed. 20 People is a huge responsibility especially if they are handicapped. Its interesting to see this work though, it would be a big boost for the Ron Paul campaign.
