patriots (from Jim Pinkerman);
Once again: about the Jones amendment to SB1320 (ADOT Omnibus Bill) in the wee hours of the last mad dash of the Az. legislature to get their work done. The promoters are trying to create a menacing Az. bureau with powers to tax, bond, (likely make new laws), and unconstitutionally negotiate with foreign nations (Mexico), to run international goods thru Az. to and from a proposed ultra-deep water port near Guaymas.
These corridors (ours would be "Canamex" Corridor) are an important part of the North American Union (NAU) planned for all 3 NAFTA nations. NAU would be patterned after the EU. Remember, Texans voted down their Corridor 2 years ago!
the new Az. ADOT agency would have authority to create regulation (new laws)
the new agency would have authority to create taxes and fees, and bonds.
the new agency would have authority to negotiate agreements with foreign nations in direct violation of the US Constitution Article One Section Ten
This would create a new inland port in line with the infrastructure needed to merge the US, Canada & Mexico, and follows Robert Pastors (NAU master mind) new outline of building the NAU through the states as laid out at ASU Feb 2008.
THE NATURE OF THIS LAST MINUTE AMENDMENT IS OF SUCH A STAGGERING IMPORT, THAT IT NEEDS TO BE RESCINDED AND CAREFULLY RE-CONSIDERED BY ALL INVOLVED! THE FIRST STEP IS TO KEEP CALLING & EMAILING GOV. BREWER (RESPECTFULLY) TO VETO SB1320 UNTIL ITS BUREAUOCRATIC, BUDGETARY, AND CONSTITUTIONAL IMPACT CAN BE CAREFULLY CONSIDERED. Here's the link to the offensive Jones amendment then the Gov.'s contact info:
