Hey all -

I want to start targeting specific reps that we need OUSTED from the house of reps.

I'm making a video (for http://bytestyle.tv ), and will have Kokesh (his rep voted YES for cap/trade & is not a co-sponsor of HR 1207) and one other person. Since Kokesh will be ousting a democrat, I want my second person to be ousting a republican.

RJ Harris is running against a repub, but I don't know how strong of a case I can make since he voted no on Cap/Trade and is a co-sponsor for HR 1207.

Anyone know anything about a BJ Lawson run, or any other good freedom candidates I should check out?

I'm trying to make the vid tonite... so... no rush :)

Thanks!
Shelly

Someone running against one of these guys would be ideal:

Rep. Mary Bono Mack [R, CA-45]
Rep. Michael Castle [R, DE-0]
Rep. Mark Kirk [R, IL-10]
Rep. Leonard Lance [R, NJ-7]
Rep. Frank LoBiondo [R, NJ-2]
Rep. John McHugh [R, NY-23]
Rep. Dave Reichert [R, WA-8]
Rep. Christopher Smith [R, NJ-4]

If you're looking for Republicans to go negative on, then you shouldn't just restrict yourself to the ones who voted for cap and trade and aren't cosponsoring HR 1207. If that's your criteria, then there are only a few Republicans you can attack. Instead look back at their votes on all the stimulus and bailout bills of the past 2 years. Only 17 total voted against all of them:

And while you're at it, you can throw in any number of other examples of corporate welfare, international welfare, nation building, and the 2 biggies domestically from the Bush years: No Child Left Behind, and the prescription drug entitlement.

good call - I know a lot of people are pissed about Cap and Trade now, so I was hoping to tap into that fresh anger to get some new support for our candidates, but it's not looking like we have enough candidates yet...

I'll check out RJ & Jake Towne's opponents more thoroughly, as well as the link you sent... THANKS!!

Mike Vasovski is running against Barrett in 2010 in South Carolina. But Barrett is running for governor too, so that seat might open up fast.

Should we not focus on Barney, and Pelosi?

Better yet, everyone except Dr. Paul...

Andy Martin is running for the U.S. Senate in IL (Obama's old seat).

Rep. Kirk might also be running for that seat.

Look at the voting records for the Military Commissions Act and the Patriot Act as well.

Also look at Dems. Actually, compiling a list of the ones worth keeping might be easier...

Anyone that introduced or co-sponsored particularly egregious legislation should be at the top of the list.
