Is this to suggest that Obama is the first president to bullshit the press and manipulate coverage? Helen Thomas may be 100 years old but I doubt this is the first time this has happened in the last 20 years. Duh, did you watch Fox News during the 2008 election?

Hmm...or is it OK when it's the press doing the bullshitting? Food for thought there.

No, and if you google the quote you'll see she said more, actually specifically referring to the Nixon administration.

Even in the part of the quote I gave, she alludes to expecting some level of control.

But I hear you. The same "fine" journalists went out of their way to ignore Paul during the primaries, and their divisions were responsible for setting up the "debates" where McCain and Romney were practically the only two that got to speak.
