I walked out of my local grocery store and had a friendly ;) debate with the Greenpeace people. They gave me the polar bears have gone from 43,000 to 8,000 they are being cannibal because lack of food, they can't swim as well as seals, ice is melting, global warming is more than before.

I wish I could have gotten the whole thing on tape but my cellphone is extremely limited in video.
I gave them a mouthful that global warming is a fraud, I don't support clear cutting forests but when countries are screwed by the IMF to repay loans they have to do that. Al gore came up with this global warming B.S and the guy agreed that someones making millions. They said NASA is responsible for measuring global temperatures and I said not its NOAA.

Mexico uses 20% solar power and we use 2%( I don't know if that is true) We need to get off of oil (which I agree) but not to where we are carbon taxed. I told them the oil companies are behind this carbon tax. I said not you but people higher up in Greenpeace are anti-human.
The first guy just gave up and I started to talk to the other one. They seemed to agree with my points. I said Al Gore isn't a scientist and he asked if I was one. Of course I said I'm not and the guy said I'm not either. I countered with well 43,000 scientists have come together to say global warming is a fraud. I told them to do some independent research and stop listening to the crap from Greenpeace.

Was I wrong on any of this?

Yes you were wrong. The earth is actually getting hotter. But the whole green revolution is a scam, and if the whole world was "greener" it would hardly make a dent.

We parted ways. No way will I give them a penny! They seemed to not stay interested in talking because they knew I was against them.

If that is true I don't believe that its human caused. We need CO2. The trees breathe it and create oxygen.

I don't think its human caused either. Either way your right about the important thing, its a way for a select group of people like gore to make millions off the sheepish masses that think buying a prius is going to save the planet.

Greenpeace is NOT an environmental organization anymore, they are a litigation organization that files lawsuits to collect big attorneys fees.

They stopped when Patrick Moore left the organization... by the way someone altered his WIKI page with a little eco slant to it.

I think I need to run back and tell them how they want to save the earth buy wearing shoes made by people in an Asian sweatshop. I should see what polluting car they drive when they talk about clean air for the children.

This is the Greenpeace I believe in.

Don't forget the Coal fired power plants used in China that are polluting OUR air here on the west coast. Oh, how about the fuel burned shipping those crappy shoes from China?

Oh yes I told them why are we required to abide by all this green stuff and pollution reduction when China sure won't. I think I need to go with my camera and have a round 2.

Oh no the polar bears are increasing!

You and I live in the real California and they have their heads up their butts. I bet they came from some midwestern state and never saw Santa Barbara and the NATURAL oil seepage that was reduced when Oil Companies DRILLED and relieved the sub-surface pressure.

Here's a fact to consider with China building on average 1 coal fired power plant per week in the 1000 megawatt range. California will receive 25% of it's air pollution from across the Pacific/China by 2030.

Evicting and evaporating peoples land is not progress.

Testing nuclear weapons UNDERGROUND is not dumping waste into the water and nobody lived on that atoll.

Nice things have come from nuclear technology even though you may not have studied in the field.
