It is sad that many of the MSM outlets that cheerled America in to Iraq freedom project could be going bankrupt and end up being consumed by "vampires":

But worse news would be that many of the same crooks could end up taking jobs as google's news editors as happened in case of Yahoo news few years back. Thus "new media" could end up being just as manipulated and corrupted as "old media".

I can imagine them lobbying to get RPFs banned or censored-cuz we're "unfair competition", or whatever newspeak they come up with.:(

exactly! without money, might or minds, you cannot fight the powers.

new media will be no better if you don't have the right people in control (by right people, I mean whoever you want to make it work your way).

it's nobody else's fault that sheeple have been too lazy to introduce or support competitors, that's how corporations come to power.

The new media consists of bloggers and other individuals. Not corporations. The State buys the corporations and adds them to its propaganda machine.

As much as I love Google, it will be no different than NBC and the like if it moves into news media.
