So what is the best way to apply Niemoeller’s wisdom to today’s world? Forget about the possibility of the government coming for those/us who they might profile as potential terrorists. What about the many millions of minorities they are currently coming for, and have been hauling off for generations? Have YOU ever spoken up for the drug users, the prostitutes, the gamblers, or (soon-to-be) the smokers? Or do you find yourself going along with the majority prejudice and being silent as they are locked up in torture cells; or worse, verbally referring to them as dopers, scum, lowlifes and whores; or worse, blaming them as deserving of their punishment? How many of you have made comments that imply such blaming of the victim to your own family members who have been punished/persecuted for simple non-consensual behavior such as drugs? If you find yourself saying things that imply that this person was responsible for getting himself in trouble, “then you just might be” one who Niemoeller was talking to.

Why don't we have commercials like this in America?

My only problem is that it seems to be pushing for a political party in the last second. Remove that last ad part and it'd be nearly perfect.

PS: If anyone happens to know how to make a commercial, get it on the air, and any legal/monetary difficulties in doing so, could you kindly pm that info(or where to get it) to me? Are commercials required to have an ad in them?

No-there are plenty of ads that are all persuasive/opinion, especially in election seasons. C4L should be doing more of that, IMHO.
