PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. (AP) -- Police in suburban Philadelphia say a man fed up of children playing in his cul-de-sac blared a pornographic soundtrack to chase them off. Irate neighbors told police they could hear the sexually explicit audio a block and a half away.

Police say Michael Buck faces a felony obscenity charge and two misdemeanors for the May 31 stunt at his upscale Phoenixville home.

The 27-year-old Buck has a preliminary hearing scheduled for next month. He doesn't have a listed telephone number, and his lawyer declined to comment Wednesday.

Detective Tom Goggin says Buck had filed one previous complaint about the neighborhood children. He says the children clearly annoy Buck - but there's nothing criminal about playing outside.

lol, I'm surprised I don't know him.

I have a lot of dumbass 27 year old friends in Phoenixville who would do this type of thing. I bet it turns out he's friends with one of my friends...I'll have to ask around.

How old were the kids he scared away? That is critical to the story.

What in the hell is a pornographic soundtrack with "sexually explicit audio"? Some music that has curse words in it?

Classic example of why the roads should be privatized.

Porn-blaring man to take anger management classes

PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. – A suburban Philadelphia man has agreed to take anger management classes for blaring a pornographic soundtrack to chase away kids playing outside his home. Michael Buck was arrested May 31 at his upscale Phoenixville cul-de-sac after irate neighbors told police they could hear the sexually explicit audio a block-and-a-half away.

The 27-year-old man will also perform 20 hours of community service under terms of a 90-day agreement reached in court Thursday.

If Buck complies with the terms, he'll return to court in October and plead guilty to a noise violation charge. He had faced more serious charges of corruption of minors and disorderly conduct.

Neighbors at the hearing said they're satisfied with the agreement.

Sheesh, whatever happened to the old tried and true method of opening your front door and yelling "Keep it down!"

No legal violation, though you might get a visit from an irate dad or two. Whereupon YOU call the cops and tell them to keep these people off your property. If the kids come on your property and try to mess with you or vandalize, call the cops.

And keep calling the cops and tell them you want to press charges for disturbing the peace. Even if they ignore your request, they might start cruising through the neighborhood a little more. Most kids these days make themselves pretty scarce when cops come around, and they're sure not going to be obnoxiously loud if they think it's going to start attracting cops.

If the cops don't take any action, start contacting your city and county officials. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I guessing it's like panting and moaning and stuff.

It was most likely the audio portion of an online porn video clip.

That's really not too hard to figure out, is it? ;)

I don't know how much good it would do in running off unwanted kids though. Knowing a lot of kids these days, it would ATTRACT them. :D

Paintball markers.

Shoot them with a paintball gun? NOT a good idea.

Two words:

Aggravated assault.

On a minor no less, which would probably increase the severity of your legal punishment.

How to deal with annoying kids:

Call the police repeatedly and keep filing disturbing the peace reports.

If they are playing the street, call the police and force them to be arrested for jaywalking, and also force the police to arrest the parents for neglect for letting them play in the street.

If all else fails call DCF and tell them that your tired of your neighbors not taking care of their kids. Tell them that they are constantly playing in the street unsupervised and that the parents are acting irresponsibly. They will come to check in on the children's parents. After a visit from DCF they will keep there kids on a shorter leash.
