Glen Beck is a tool! He plays the role of Mr. Liberty, while at the same time ain't nothing more than a hardcore neocon republican. His rhetoric don't fool me, but it sure does seem to fool a lot of people.

Yeah, me too.
It's probably a good thing that he had DeMint on saying good things about 1207. The important thing is to get the bill passed.

Your language is something I'd expect from one of them...not one of ours. You do know Beck has hosted Ron more than any other mainstream media host, do you not?
And it's not the first time it's been mentioned. You don't have to like the guy, but don't be ignorant and blind.
rockandrollsouls
06-23-2009, 07:31 PM
Yeah, and he also called him the mayor of Crazytown...
And many of Ron's "supporters" have harassed Beck relentlessly and been less than kind. Be thankful we've been hosted after the way some of ours have acted.
If a bunch of random people started emailing me with rude, threatening, and off-putting messages in the name of a candidate I'd be hesitant to host them.
You guys really have a tough time recognizing where some of our support is. You can't expect to get the message out if people don't hear it.

demit mentioned pauls name 4 or 5 times and beck seemed to not like it. i noticed this week beck also tried putting paul in a bad light AGAIN, by mentioning the bill paul is sponsoring with barney frank on maryjane legalization. i also find it funny that beck wont have paul on to speak of his very supported bill. and last week beck made mention of the fed and how that most conspiracy minded people are against them. beck is a coward and his show is starting to suck.

You beg for media attention for a message of freedom and liberty, but you're selective of who delivers it and when they do, you can't even give them credit for it.

I agree with you rockandrollsouls. Beck has had Ron Paul on many times and treats him cordially, he had Paul's adviser Schiff on many times during the meltdown, he has on Campaign for Liberty people, Libertarian Party people, during the Tea Party he had on a participant who gave an anti-Fed speech, he showed the clip of the woman who stood up to the anti-Tea Party CNN bitch and said this country was run by a Federal Reserve bank, and had her on as a guest to boot, he's said the American empire needs to be dismantled (though slower than what we want), he's had Napolitano guest host the show, he's had pro-secessionist movement people on (2 in the last 2 days actually), he said last week the Fed needs to be shut down, he had DeMint on today promoting Ron Paul's Fed-audit bill, Beck continues to rail against both parties, and it's still not fucking good enough for the people here. Last year during the election Beck said he received threats from Ron Paul supporters calling him "a traitor who should be executed", and I don't doubt it, and it wouldn't surprise me if some of those threats came from members of this board. Beck's not perfect, and still has some neo-connish views - more aggressive foreign policy attitude than us for instance, but I've read comments from members here who say the anti-Islamic terror threat/get them first mentality is the last thing they give up before fully converting into the liberty movement. Beck will continue to make mistakes. Beck has called himself a "libertarian-in-conversion". He's still got much to learn, but hell, so do many of us. If you still won't give him an ounce of credit and think he will "betray" us sometime down the road, there isn't much else I can say, but even if he did do such a thing, I at least will be greatful that in the meantime he won some converts over to the Ron Paul ~ libertarian side, and for those of his audience who didn't quite make the conversion, at least they may have been softened up to the ideas of liberty and may take that into consideration during the next elections. But many here will just be happy to conjecture about how institute/political party/candidate/think-tank/organization/magazine/supporter/podcast/website] has been "infiltrated". I'm looking at you rockandroulsouls! (j/k)

I seriously think Beck just put DeMint on for the ratings. When Bush was in power, Beck didn't criticize him for the same thing Obama is doing now. Bashing Keynesian economics now just allows him to keep his dumb, right-wing, party first Republicans who suddenly don't like something because a "Dem'crat dun doin it".

fox news and the rest of them along with beck, hannity and fill in the blank _____ are just entertainment on tv nothing else. we should sue them to remove news as their title!
jon stewart and colbert have more news worthy interviews and comedy.then the 3 msm outlets, sad but true.
i predict the republican party wil divide ,once ron paul republicans relaize the right-wing and brainwashed republicans are useless!
the best thing for the gop would be for all the rprepublicans to exit the party and get with leaders of lp/cp/tp and form a new platform! then the gop becomes the 3rd party!

If they're playing our tune and helping get the message out, that's what matters. The keyword there is HELPING. If you don't want them to co-opt our message, then get out there YOURSELVES and make sure it doesn't happen.
Hey, lookie. Even Karen DeCoster (Mises Institute) is seeing some good things happening.

I think Beck doesn't like Ron Paul too, I remember last week he mentioned the bill and said 14 something (like how could you not know a HR number yet talk about it as a host of the news) .. now this week he gives the number of the bill with no credit to the proposer.
It's clear he has an agenda outside our Revolution, the Judge would have given credit where credit is due.
Beck needs to take a vacation or take a comedy tour and have the Judge fill in again.
or ..........
We NEED to get Freedom Watch on Cable TV !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF are they waiting 4 ???

in the last few weeks i gotten the sense that rp is a bad word on becks show. he doesnt mention him anymore, and interrupts or changes the subject when someone else does. im glad for the past including of paul, but it seems to me beck could mention the most honest man in the gov on a show like his without being forced to do so. beck even takes credit for being "the only one" who called the current situation 2-3 years ago....what about rp beck?

I don't even watch him. I don't like him. But that doesn't stop me from admitting he's been an asset and has been fair. I've tuned in whenever he's hosted Ron or Celente or Schiff.

To emazur, LibertyEagle and other sensible folks.
Why would anyone on the media want to cover our issues if we still beat them up because they don't wash and kiss Ron Paul's feet, publicly and repeatedly renounce the state, call for treason trials against politicians and come on these boards asking us what they should say?
The closest show to that is Freedom Watch, and it may make it on the air soon.
Some of you people make my head hurt.
You are the same people who those of us activists at the local level call and you won't show up to do necessary work, or better yet chastise us, for "believing" that anything can be done at this point, or for legitimizing the state by doing ____.
We could be making far greater progress if so many of you weren't so childish. Despite you, we press on...

Actually, the solution to the whole Beck conundrum may be getting Freedom Watch out there in a big way. I think almost all of us trust the Judge, and his show would be a far more credible representation of liberty minded folks than the bizarre, semi-hysterical antics of Beck. I truly believe the Judge's show would conquer, and Beck would be left drastically reduced or to fizzle entirely with a small neo-con audience.
