Rapid City Tea Party organizers plan July 4 demonstration
By Journal staff
A Rapid City group that attracted almost 1,000 area residents to a Tax Day Tea Party in April is planning a similar gathering on the Fourth of July to call for "limited government and constitutional accountability" from the nation's lawmakers.
Citizens for Liberty will return to the Memorial Park area from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 4, for a program that will include sign waving, a tribute to wounded war veterans and speeches on topics such as socialized medicine and cap-and-trade global warming taxes.
