That is easy.. Ron Paul.

None of those pro war big government liberals listed in your poll.

Gary Johnson is who I would support.

Ron Paul not running is not an option. We have to really push this thing, IMO.

He's becoming a household name and gains respect every day. People are realizing how right he was. I'm sure most of the regular forum members have their own personal story about people that once hated Ron warming up to him. I have a few myself.

We need him to run more than ever.

I agree.

I like to think about, in the best case if Ron won was GOP nomination, what the debates between him and Obama would be like...LOL.

Gary Johnson
Mark Sanford
Libertarian Party Candidate
Constitution Party Candidate
Jesse Ventura

Those are basically my options for 2012.

I still think it's a good idea to have multiple freedom candidates running for President. I would personally like Ron Paul & Gary Johnson to run. If RP doesn't then I'll just support Gary Johnson.

Out of these, absolutely nobody.

I would support Gary Johnson if he decided to run, or go for one of the Libertarian candidates, preferably Mary Ruwart.

A Frank Luntz poll if ever there was one...

Ron Paul will not even be running in 2012, so why skew a poll with the word "if" when it isnt even going to happen?

I say, FUCK YOU FRANK!!!

The same. A Ruwart/Kubby LP ticket would be ideal. I'm not too interested with current long-shot libertarian choices (except maybe Johnson... I'd like to see him in some debates) for the GOP nor the "centrists" the GOP likes.

How about some other options, like people who actually believe in the Constitution like Ron Paul?

Wow, I was at least expecting a Mark Sanford option. This is worse than a CNN poll, leaving stuff out.

An example of a loaded poll:

Which are your favorite three parties?

A) Republicans
B) Democrats

It isn't even that useful...

It's like asking if you like drug-warriors or war hawks better.

none of the above and odds are against voting for any republican! the problem is not the poll it is the republican party that is the problem!

I'd support Palin, very reluctantly. Almost felt like choosing none of the above, but if it comes down to the other three listed, I'd choose Palin.

Probably will just vote Libertarian again in the general election though, if no one from the freedom movement gets the nomination.

If Peter Schiff runs, and beats Dodd in 2010...then Schiff becomes the "leader" (for lack of a better term) for this movement.

He's younger than Ron Paul, a Senator is a higher rank, and he's a tougher fighter in debates.

i said sarah palin, and yes... peter schiff or rand paul should be future options either way,
either by winning or coming very close to trumping the Democrat at the november polls!!!

He's younger than Ron Paul, a Senator is a higher rank, and he's a tougher fighter in debates.

Realistically, I do think Schiff could potentially beat Obama, especially as Obama's economic policies are revealed to be more and more disastrous. But the problem is that running for president takes about two years. Schiff would have to start running for 2012 right around the time he won the Senate seat in 2010. When Obama started to run for 2008 (say, around 2006), he at least had almost two years in the Senate first. So given that, I don't know if Schiff would be able to make an effective run for the GOP nomination for 2012; he'd just be starting in the Senate and starting to run for president at the same time. He would make an excellent choice for a VP candidate, however.

Obviously I hope Dr. Paul runs in 2012. He's gained a lot more popularity since the last election cycle, and Fox News has been giving him some good exposure so I think there's more neocons who are hearing his message.

For reasons discussed at http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=193008 (starting at post #8) --- his Bilderberg attendance and his apparent endorsement of former Speaker Newt Gingrich's foreign policy --- I will not support Gov. Sanford.

I'm intrigued by former Gov. Gary Johnson. I need to know more about him, but so far he looks promising.

Palin needs to be only a v-p candidate, only Romney out of last year will even figure into it and probably not as a candidate. I'm starting to like Mike Pence, he is the only member of congress that fits

Newt is gearing up to run but God help us he is the True Believer candidate, the RNC will once again try to leave us without a choice we can live with.

The only candidate who will stand a chance of winning will have to do it without the RNC , never have had his picture made with Cheney, and talk about NOT MAKING THE SAME MISTAKES AS THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION, AND HAVE A PLAN TO UNDO THE DAMAGE DONE BY BOTH BUSH AND OBAMA!!!

Does such a person exist? You had better understand Ron Paul will never get the the support of the RNC, only someone who is a globalization pro international business and a free trade to bankurptcy will get the RNC MONEY!!!

No they cant, that is the point of this poll ;)

Maybe the Glenn Beck lurkers/workers who visit this board will see how bad the choices he is pushing on us are.
