I don't have any interesting conspiracy theories to talk about these days...

This is exactly what I was thinking. I would guess it's government . I have never seen a product/company freely and massively advertised as twitter. Everytime I watch anything on TV all I hear about is twitter. ESPN, nightly news, NASCAR, NBA, etc. Every talking head on these shows are always pimping out twitter. Conspiracy or not MSM is wanting everyone to twitter.

Perhaps. The OP is trying to ask if you believe the government has administrative control of the website (ownership of admin), not that they're currently using their power to manipulate users and messages.

Directly or indirectly, actively or passively, we live in a police state, the govt has their evil, grimy, corrupt, claws dug into all of us therefore E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!! we do is somehow controlled by the govt.

That includes Twitter.

Well, either way I would say I don't see any compelling evidence for it being the case. Its a lame site, but lame sites have become popular before.

They have no revenue, so either they're funded by some large companies or by the Company. I highly doubt it's the latter.
