Ron Paul is at it again... voting no in a vote that passed 405-1

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/8108661.stm

In Washington, the House of Representatives voted 405-1 for a statement supporting democratic and fair elections, condemning the violence and the Iranian government's "suppression of independent electronic communications through interference with the internet and cell phones."

Apparently Congress still believes that it must have an active opinion on anything Mid-East related (then, subsequently drop their principles when their opinion is applied everywhere else. The hypocrisy of our government continues.)

We should create our own vote / Resolution that the House of Representatives listen to their constituents. It's funny (not really), the House wants Iran to listen to the citizens, yet the House won't listen to their constituents.

Remember the Tarp bailout? Overwhelming majority was against the bailout, yet it passed.

So is the Wonkette, with their usual smug snarky asshattery to Ron Paul.

Ron Paul was very eloquent and intelligent in his dissention, and he didn't insult his objectors, or the American people. It's very contrasting to the character of, say, those Freepers and Wonketters.

Pay no attention to Wonkette, they've been at this game since his campaign started. Any solid arguments in defense of Paul will warrant a 'this is a /satire/ site', while any weaker arguments will be descended upon like vultures to fresh carrion, with nothing funny about it. I suspect mentioning Paul is the only way they get any traffic.

It's only a big joke when they're called on it, and when they're not they freely toss around arguments thinly veiled in poor humor. As I learned the hard way, even reading through any of their crap is an exercise in frustration, like arguing with a four year old, though I may be insulting the toddler. Best not to give them any attention.
