Did they also sprinkle some crack on the computer? Seems a bit out of place for the rest of the stuff.

I'm waiting for a report saying the authorities found a trash bag of dead babies in his closet. It seems like they're making him out to be too much of a villain. Of course, it could all just be true, and von Brunn is a real psychotic racist evil murderer.

Oh you mean those pics of Ron Paul and him posing for a photo-op in neo-nazi uniforms while killing Jewish babies together after molesting them and making kiddie porn while smoking crack?

I am curious, when they say child porn was on the computer, could this mean that he visited a porn site that uploaded a popup bot on his computer and it sent popups which included child porn ads?

If this is true just about anyone could have crap like this on their computer, especially older non-techie people.

the guy who was 88+ or some birthday sorta like
that evidently spent some of ww2 in the pacific.

he evidently sold a computer or two as in recently
as in a timeframe shorter than the past decade...

evidently someone told the press a certain type of file
was on his old harddrive and evidently the format was
not ascii and the photos were & are a federal level felony.

They are certainly covering all of their bases in finding the things that will make people hate the hater. I'll bet that the salt shaker was unregistered.

Sounds a lot like that grandmother who snapped a pic of her grand daughter getting a bath in the kitchen sink for the family scrap album - maybe?

he clearly shot the poor security guard.
the murder one charge is open to at least
several decades in a federal prison. the other
charges which might be lesser are being currently
speculated on and being talked about by the press...

Doesn't it seem rather strange how one or two murders get so much attention in the news?
There are murders happening in all major cities every year and just these two take the spotlight.

Sure looks like the same kind of stuff that happens with other media outlets. They grab something, make an empty canvas out of it and then start painting an evil picture all over it.

I tend to view it much like one group shooting a staged video of people being bombed on a beach and then broadcasting it all over the world with hopes of inciting a negative view of a another group of people.

Sure, the people who did those two murders are evil and should not be tolerated, but to go on and on about just those particular murderers while standing in what amounts to an ocean of murderers is really uncalled for.

I'll bet both of those murderers paid taxes to the federal government, so should that equate with all people who paid taxes as being like those two murderers in that all tax payers condone murder and might also do the same thing?

Tune into Gretta or Horaldo(sp?) on FOX News sometime - absolutely disgusting... "trial by media"

You're so right! - taxpayers are disgusting, foul vermin. We should all stop paying taxes...

Well, if it was Hunter S. Thompsons old salt shaker it was full of cocaine, if it belonged to that bio-warfare scientist it was full of anthrax. Either way - better call they guys in Moon Suites!

in ww2, the young G.Is were usually taught how to take apart and re-assemble an M-1 garand rifle. some were quite good at this...

dude seems to have walked in with a rifle and not a handgun, a curious twist to the d.c handgun bill debate and the good ole NRA...

hunter thompson...? all his gonzo speculations,
and yes, hunter thompson died recently in a very
suspicious way, however i want a mature discussion
up here, even though this thread can vector "hot topics"
so very fast. hunter thompson was memorable at times...

He could have at least had the courtesy to use a flame thrower, some hand grenades and a rocket launcher. Then Congress would be up in arms to ban those things... Oh wait...

A rifle that was about 100 years old and not "on the grid".

Yeah - that salt shaker... Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. IIRC.

What is serious to discuss here? - it's old news, he has a bullet in his head, even if he lives he's going to spend the rest of his days in prison. So what's the "serious" topic here - "trial by media" and sheeple conditioning? - I thought we were hitting those topics pretty well, even if in an irrelevant way.

It was the Law of the Sea, they said. Civilization ends at the waterline. Beyond that, we all enter the food chain, and not always right at the top.

The TV business is uglier than most things. It is normally perceived as some kind of cruel and shallow money trench through the heart of the journalism industry, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs, for no good reason

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

Thompson will definitely be missed!

he had a rifle with these .22 bullets? and yes, the garand is part of our modern militia in a civilian way via teddy roosevelt's brainstorm circa 1903 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civilian_Marksmanship_Program

BINGO! We were having this very conversation last night after it was plastered on all the MSM channels.

What about the people murdered across the nation?

Is there anything else the government and media need to connect von Brunn to? I was thinking; Counterfeited US Bearer Bonds, Ponzi Schemes, Terrorists, Al Qaeda, Taliban, Alan Stanford, Gun conferences, blah blah blah?

this type of media speculation at an extreme tabloid level of one source journalism could contaminate a hypothetical jury pool even though the exchange of bullets was at close range...

In general, that is always a problem this type of tabloid "trial by media", but in this case do you really think he will ever get a trial? Well, I guess he might if they need bread and circuses to distract people...

As to finding people that haven't been contaminated by media exposure - well, HELLO GITMO! We just found a use for your prisoners!

It's soooooooo unlikely.

Hosting child porn on a server is a felony (or similar) in all "civilized" nations. Advertising it would be foolish. Any "legitimate porn site" hosting an application that assists in distributing child pornography is putting itself at extraordinary risk (not only legal risk -- but many search engines, such as Google, will block the website from being listed).

But yes, if the ads were explicit, I expect the police/media would have no problem saying the murdering White Supremacist also had child porn on his computer. Makes a good story.
