The free enterprise system "will work again, which gives me great confidence if government just releases the ingenuity of the American people, if we provide incentives for people to take risk ... we'll come out of this thing better than before," Bush said.

He was roundly applauded after giving an immediate answer to a question about how to make the manufacturing sector more vibrant. "Low regulations, no frivolous lawsuits and export markets," he said, before also adding support for research and development tax credits.

Good timing, huh?

Gotta make sure people associate "free market" with Bush.

Well, even Tom Woods beat him to the punch. But still.

I just dont think your attacks of him are justified. I dont think you should attack somebody on a statement you agree with simply because you dont like the person.

Perpetuate the false left-right paradigm. Make the GOP believe that the party was free market all along, despite doing more to undermine the free market than perhaps any president in history. Make the country take another right foot towards socialism, after its most recent left foot.

Still missing the point.

Let me break it down for you.

Bush is the bad guy...that's the story the media is selling. Obama is the good guy.

Now they are trying to associate Bush with Free Market.

If Bush is the Bad Guy, then his ideas must also be Bad, right?

Bush endorsing the free market now, is like Bush endorsing John McCain in the election. It's toxic. :)

I understand what theyre trying to do, but I dont think it displays enough merit to post here, where everyone understands that. Nobody here likes Bush. Now we all sit around here and talk about how right we are instead of doing something useful.

I thought the Masters cut all the strings on this Mannequin, since they have their new puppet lined-up for the next 7 1/2 years?

Doesn't Dubya have a speech to go to @ Alfred E. Newman U.?

Something useful like what?
