As most of you probably know, ABC has decided to air an hour-long healthcare infomercial (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/06/16/abc-news-teams-obama-white-house-present-presidents-health-care-plan/) featuring Barack Obama, the Scam-Wow huckster.
ABC's press release oozes a promise that participants will present a broad range of "divergent opinions in this historic debate."
So, why isn't ABC's own John Stossel involved? Probably because he's out-spoken, well researched (http://abcnews.go.com/2020/Stossel/story?id=3580676&page=1)and totally prepared.
Instead, we'll be treated to sob stories delivered by better-vetted versions of Graeme Frost, the kid the Democrats paraded out to address Congress as the poster child for SCHIP. (It turned out that bloggers (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1907687/posts)soon unearthed facts that proved that these "poor" people had much better lives, not to mention more assets, than most of us. When asked about living in a house that would probably sell for upwards of $400,000, the father indignantly pointed out that they had paid far less for it, had done a ton of work on it, and was shocked that people thought they should be penalized for their "sweat equity. Time Magazine agreed (http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1670210,00.html). )
If you want to make conservative voices heard in the "debate," then take action. Request that John Stossel be allowed to participate on our behalf.
