Chicago rally was great! Over 1000 attended.. High energy. Very enthusiastic! Dr P. in fine form. Very moving and inspiring. Press was present. They had to be floored by the energy in that room. Crowd reaction at the end was something to see! I do have video..

I'll subscribe to this thread, hoping that there'll be a youtube of the event posted in here eventually. I watched the live stream of the event and I agree that the crowd's reaction was really something else. Even though his mic was too low, RP's delivery was his best yet.

actually, maybe it was just the camera. i've been to a few speeches by the good Dr. and this was the first one where i could surprisingly hear him very well all the way in the back of the room. i brought my family to this one, so no chance to hang around afterwards, but a great speech nonetheless. the entire back half of the room seemed to be "newbies" or walk-ins. the front was full of hard-core supporters though, as usual.

way over 1000... we counted1257 chairs and there were people along the walls and in the back...

Waiting for the video will only disappoint you unless someone was plugged into the soundboard. Due to the speakers being scatterred in the ceiling and his voice being mixed too low to start with you will always hear peaks of crowd. I recorded the audio using a peice of high end musician's gear - you hear Dr. Paul clearly then get peaks of the crowd overwhelming him when they cheer.

the speakers were in the ceiling all through the room - good for hearing, bad for those trying to make a recording with a non-existent speaker stack.

how did people meet him? i was under the impression that he went up to the 1000/plate dinner right away, but later i heard people had met him... did they catch him after the dinner?
