Operation Blackjack - OK, what's the real deal here?

Here is a link to the UK Telegraph's series titled "Operation BlackJack".

It's a five part (for now, more are coming) series, done in "graphic novel" style, depicting a series of nuclear blasts, the rise of an authoritarian "super state" in it's wake and the revelation later that it was all done on purpose.

NORAD and USNORTHCOM exercise planned for mid-June

PETERSON AFB, Colo. – North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command are planning to conduct a combined exercise June 18 - 24 that will incorporate several military exercises with a National Guard exercise. These linked exercises are referred to as ARDENT SENTRY 09. Events will take place in multiple venues across the country including Iowa, Kansas, Oregon, Wyoming, and off the East and West Coasts.

The exercise will allow several Department of Defense organizations and some federal and state partners to implement plans and respond to a variety of notional events. Historically, exercises like these have helped both DoD and other agencies review their processes and procedures and focus their future training efforts on closing gaps and identifying areas that need additional attention.

Major AS 09 venues include:

* NORAD’s AMALGAM DART exercise involving air defense activities at Camp Rilea, Oregon;
* The National Guard’s VIGILANT GUARD exercise focused on civil support with major activities in Des Moines, Iowa and Topeka, Kansas; and,
* A Nuclear Weapons Incident exercise (NUWAIX) with a U.S. Air Force response near Cheyenne, Wyoming;

The activities in the vicinity of Camp Rilea will involve the deployment of an Army National Guard ground-based air defense system that will be integrated with Air Force airborne systems (AWACS and fighters) and a Navy Aegis Destroyer. Press release dated June. These slideshows were created in January. And if it's marketing, why? For what 'product'? There's another thread on the David Icke forums (you can find that linked in the GLP thread as well if you're interested) where people have found coordinates. Portland. I'm sure it's some kind of hoax but I have to say the info is kind of freaky. It almost seemed like the codes changed and turned 'silly' in a way once the glp thread started and all the codes were being deciphered.

I'm not registered w/blogspot to read the posts but other commenters at GLP said the blog itself was created yesterday, like a cya (cia? lol) type of thing.

I'm not a gamer so I'm not sure about the following but wouldn't a Clancy game be a big deal? Would it be/is it on gaming forums? Didn't he just release a new game? And why a company in Romania that isn't even advertising the game at all? Why are there no links back to this blackjack thing on sites supposedly affiliated with it?

I find it all bizarre and love a good mystery. Probably a total hoax but kudos to the hoaxer for such a fun game.

I also find it very odd that the Telegraph would allow something so graphic and insensitive given the pc climate over there.

That's what surprised me at first.

Pretty elaborate marketing ploy for a damn video game.

Still, interesting.

Wonder if Clancy is personally involved with the project? That would be an interesting angle as well, given the "inside job" flavor of the whole thing. My take on the last stuff I read from him, seemed to indicate his "politics" had become the pretty standard "neo-con" variety.
