What was the total door count?
How did you promote the event?
What were the expenses (expected and unexpected)?

I am part of the team that is putting on the large RP rally in Nashville in 2 weeks and we would be open to any advice you could give.

One of the strategies was calling in to radio talk shows and mentioning the rally. Flyering in the week before. Check out our board and you will see some of the strategies:

Apparently one student learned about the rally from a flier she saw in a restroom stall!

The campaign paid for the venue. So the only cost would have been for signs and fliers.

The room was about capacity. There were some empty seats but there were also some people standing the whole time. Someone was told the room held 1000.

About 1,000... maybe a little more

How did you promote the event?

the only thing I saw about it was from my meetup (it has over 400 members), posts about it here on the forum, and on Ron Paul's site. Other than that it was probably more word of mouth than anything.

What were the expenses (expected and unexpected)?

No idea but someone should be able to answer that.

Have you been in contact with the campaign? If not you may want to contact them. If you want to talk to our meetup organizer you can find him at http://ronpaul.meetup.com/94/

They did a lot to pull the whole thing together.

Also, we had some people standing outside on the sidewalks to tell people that may not have known he was in town. While I was waiting to cross the street they directed about 7 people to where the rally was and that was before it ended (I had to leave early to attend a meeting). I'd say keep people out there because there were a lot of people that were happy to see the signs and were excited when they heard Ron was in town.

They were on Michigan ave so thousands of people saw the signs.

I can't read sign language but she really seem to express things in a strong manner that I thought was quite good. Different from the interpreters at the Kenny Rogers concert they had here a couple months ago. It would be a nice touch if he had thanked her in the end by name. Kenny Rogers did that and I think it was quite thoughtful of him. But at least she was there.

There were a lot of people there. One of the attendants outside reported receiving 1500 RSVPs and by doing seat calculations and the people standing the group I went with estimated 1500+. The whole outside area was saturated by Ron Paul signage.

It was great to finally see Dr. Paul in person!

WI for Ron Paul

Hey walt, I can put the file on my server at ronpaul.name for now. I'll get Randy to throw it on ronpaulaudio next time I talk with him. Which I probably should do anyways; I've been busy a whole lot recently. :p

Question.......

Do the other candidates get this type of audience ? (Without paying and busing them in?) I'm sure Hillary & Obama do......but I question the GOP guys.
