The Chamber of Commerce is dropping 100 million to combat all this socialism going on. Maybe we can become allies and snag some of that cash.

“Dire economic circumstances have certainly justified some out-of-the-ordinary remedial actions by government,” said Chamber President Tom Donohue, referring to the bank bailouts and the $787 billion economic stimulus program.

“But enough is enough,” he added in a statement to POLITICO.

What a dumbass. I really hate these corporate types who mince words.

Some?....Try NONE of the "remedial actions were justified.

Once you violate basic economic and constitutional principles, you guarantee future intrusions. Where were these ass clowns during Paulson's original power-grab? Which "remedial actions" do they wish to leave in place?

If they were smart, they'd give that cash to CFL and campaigns of Rand or Schiff

It's always good to spend government money to help the free market, works every time.

Campaign for Free Enterprise!

"As envisioned, the campaign will include a grass-roots lobbying component that will tap the strength of the Chamber’s network of small businesses and business and trade associations."

Sound familiar? :)

Boo after reading up on the Chamber of Commerce, I have found out they were a big advocate of the initial TARP program and now it seems they're changing there minds. Seems like they were all for the free money but didn't anticipate all the strings that would go with it.

Yes, I am confused why it takes $100 million to do this. Oh wait, that is because it doesn't! Anybody who claims this is a phony, an idiot, or lives in Hollywood/Washington and is not at all connected with reality. Doing bad in the name of good is still bad.

The national Chamber of Commerce is only going to represent the interests of huge corporations that benefit from our import subsidizing tax structure featuring huge internal taxes and low to non-existent tariffs. These people have sold us down the river into this mess. F them.

When they advocate a tariff to replace our internal taxes you will know they are owned by Americans again.

Only now is the Chamber of Commerce figuring out that free enterprise is under assault????

What friggin clowns. If only they would read a few Austrian economics books and get behind Ron Paul. Think what we could accomplish together.

I dont think Chamber of Commerce is a sellout group as much as they are just blind businessman. All they know how to do is make a buck (microeconomics) but dont know shit about the big picture (macroeconomics...monetary policy)
