US House to debate Ron Paul’s ‘Audit the Fed’ bill (http://rawstory.com/08/news/2009/06/11/us-house-to-debate-ron-pauls-audit-the-fed-bill/)

After months of activism and lobbying by Congressman Ron Paul’s supporters, House Resolution 1207, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, will move out of committee to be debated by the full House of Representatives.

In a show of cross-party unity, Ohio Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich became the bill’s 218th co-sponsor, pushing it over the threshold for debate in Congress.

ZOMG. So it will be debated?

How can you debate against auditing the FED? LOL

This could be the beginning of something big. This kind of topic would make it's way into the mainstream media and Ron Paul could gain a lot of support from Americans through this bill. Everyone is looking for the bad guys that got into this mess and when America takes a step back and realizes the FED's involvement, that place will be torn down brick by brick.

I think the article is flawed. No petition to discharge has been filed yet and there is no indication that one will be. In fact, many latecomers to the bill may have done so knowing it would be subject to committee changes, in which case it can be mutilated and then co-sponsors could back out of it.

I'd like to see a petition immediately.

i knew dennis kucinich had totally "fed-up" honest reasons for his own watered down 2424 bill
and he's given the added push to ron paul's 1207 bill so to make this issue open to house debate!!!

It's pretty much on Ron Paul to let us know about any funny business going on and where we should direct our resources.
