The language of Iran is Farsi, not Arabic. It is written with the Arabic alphabet and contains some Arabic words (just as English has French words), but linguistically Farsi is more closely related to English than it is to Arabic, as Farsi is an Indo-European language and Arabic is Semitic. When someone posted Ahmedinjad's blog here I was able to make out a few words here and there but not enough to make sense of it.

Iranians don't speak Arabic, they usually speak Farsi. Urdu is also an option, but he speaks Farsi. The writing looks similar but it's actually a different alphabet. I know a few words of Farsi I picked up from my ex-gf Samar (her name means fruit, particularly a ripe fruit) but I don't actually speak, read, or write it. Arabic, on the other hand, I can do alright with, spoken, and can sound out with some success when trying to read it.

Why would you say that? A) hes not the one with real power in Iran, the Supreme Leader is. B) I would not vote for him if I lived there because he's a typical politician (pre-globalist). C) The media often reports translations of statements he makes in such a way that they seem evil, when in truth they may not be, or may not be that evil. D) The Iranians, like us, live in a semi-oppressive environment, however, they are striving out of the oppression while we are diving head-long into it. E) I suspect that most of your knowledge about Iran comes from recent main-stream media reports and this is the absolute worst source of info. I'm not saying you would agree with my view if you saw a different perspective, however, it would be a good idea to take a look at how the Iranians actually live:
