This is old news but I just saw a comment on it and had to laugh.

I think this was in April.

DETROIT - Police in Detroit have ruffled some feathers after they cracked down on an organized pillow fight at a downtown park.

The Detroit News newspaper reports police at Campus Martius Park prevented the feathery fight Saturday by disarming pillow-toting participants.

The bout was part of a worldwide event organized on social networking websites.

Michael Davis says police confiscated the 32-year-old man's pillows but returned the cases.

Here is one commenter's remarks: Funny

Detroit police stepped in to prevent a pillow fight organized on the WWW slated to take place in a Detroit public park. The citizens who showed up at the park packing pillows were disarmed. Police confiscated the pillows but let the owners keep the pillow cases.

One pillow owner was told he needed a permit to pack that pillow as he was left holding the case. One Ferndale resident stated it was legal to keep and bear pillows, but the police didn't see it quite that way.

Big brother is watching so be careful out there, all you pillow packers. Seems the police were acting to prevent littering, so you brown baggers might want to be careful, too. It might be your lunch next.
