4 to attend candidate forum

CHEYENNE - Republican presidential hopeful Fred Thompson will attend a candidate forum sponsored by the state GOP on Sept. 29, a spokesman said Thursday.
Wyoming Republicans have moved their caucuses to Jan. 5, and campaign spokesman Jeff Sadosky said Thompson wants to start gathering support in the state based on his "consistent conservative" record.
"This is a great way to kick it off," Sadosky said.
The state Republican Party has said Sen. Sam Brownbeck, Rep. Ron Paul and Rep. Duncan Hunter plan to attend.
Candidates will speak to Republican precinct committee members and answer questions from them during two meetings - in Casper in the morning and in Riverton in the evening. The forums will also be open to the public.
