What will we see? Judicial pacifism or justice?

And by Ruth Bader Ginsberg, no less.

Seems some on the Supreme Court think maybe the owners of the corporation should have some say on what happens to it, as opposed to merely being 'given' pennies on the dollar and muzzled. Makes me wonder if the system isn't completely broken after all. Also makes me wonder why these 'liberals' seem to have more respect for property rights than the current batch of alleged 'conservatives'.

If it doesn't go through as 'planned' the Obama administration will take a major hit.

They will have to back up a lot of trains.

Then they will have to look up the FDR playbook for getting around the Supreme Court.

Then they will have to look up the FDR playbook for getting around the Supreme Court.

Or the Lincoln playbook, which is what they seem to have been using.

Because 2 threads aren't enough.

Link to the other one. I didn't see it when I skimmed through Grassroots to make this thread.

Sorry. It seems the lying liars in SCOTUS have allowed it through. I'll bet the graft is really being spread around.

CHRYSLER/COURT-RULING (URGENT)
WASHINGTON, June 9 (Reuters) - The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed the U.S. government-backed sale of Chrysler LLC to a group led by Italian carmaker Fiat SpA , a victory for the bankrupt automaker and the Obama administration.
The high court rejected a request from Indiana pension funds and other opponents of the sale to delay the deal while they challenge Chrysler's sale to a group led by Fiat, a union-aligned trust and the U.S. and Canadian governments.
