Choose a few books.

I suggest:
Confessions of an Economic Hit Man
Armed Madhouse
Meltdown

And have them sent to congressional members. One or two might be impressed that a voter went to such trouble. Better yet, hand deliver them when their visiting their district.

Anyways, It's worth a shot, isn't it? Better yet, include an executive summary of the book and quickly explain why they should read it and if in person explain why it changed your own life.

My guess is nobody would read it. You'd probably have to have a coordinated campaign with others in the district - talking about the causes of the crisis (in the case of Meltdown) with the representative, bringing the book with you and going over specific points in the book. Have enough people do that over a certain period and then give him the book. But if you flat out give it to them I think it'll go unread and that'll be money down the drain

I liked Planned Chaos, it's on the books they don't want you to read list.
