It's from the postings right here in the forums. Do a search on the words donation or confirmation and you'll find most of the fundraising threads with the confirmation numbers in them. A few numbers here or there are my own personal ones, but most if not all are posted for the public.

Between June 6th and Sept 5th you're somewhere in the area of 250/day
Between Sept 5th and today you're somewhere in the area of 490/day

This is probably a surge, not permanent, but lets keep it strong through the 30th. A lot of us just donated for Fill the Quill, but dig deep!

Maybe they began numbering around start of june ? If thats the case, then its impossible from this chart (as opposed to difficult) to interpolate total donations amount for Q3.

811 was just my first data point, but I'm pretty sure we ended Q2 around 7000 donations, so that'll give you an idea.

No it's the number of online donations from everywhere. We just use the forum posts of the users to determine the number of online donations since June 6th. If you donate online and look at your confirmation number, it starts out with T-xxxx. That goes up sequentially with each donation, so that's how we track the whole internet using data produced here on the forum.

while this is true... I am a canadian, and i have indirectly contributed money.

I have american friends who'm i give "Gifts" of money, and it's up to them what they do with it.

of course, i suggest donate it to Ron Paul 2008 :-)

But that is my point, in order for Q2 to be ~7000 donations, 6th of june was just 811 donations. And it sounds wrong to me. But im not sure that it has any use trying to guess total donations, from just knowing the internet donations, so i'll let it fare.
