Sen. Bernard Sanders has introduced an identical bill to H.R.1207 in the Senate (S.604). Is there any benefit to going after Senatorial co-sponsors on this bill? Or, should we wait for H.R.1207 to clear the House (as I assume it will be sent to the Senate at that point?)

Actually this is a really good question. Although I hope it's S604 we need to be pushing because I've already started gathering petitions for it...

Yeah I guess what I'm really asking is, once H.R.1207 passes the House, does it get sent to the Senate as a separate bill from S.604, or is it noted that they are equivalent? If the latter is the case, then we could get co-sponsors in the Senate before H.R.1207 passes...

Constitution provides that only the House of Representatives originate revenue bills.

Could this be classified as such?
Has the Senate ever introduced revenue bills?
