When I organized the tea party back in April I instantly started getting all kinds of e-newsletters that I didn't sign up for. Here's one from "Our Country Deserves Better":

Good news to pass along to you this Friday! A brand new Gallup Poll (http://paracom.paramountcommunication.com/ct/3118122:4177136321:m:1:155497757:5627030D1324B678F E350BC13AA980F6) shows that Nancy Pelosi is wildly unpopular, and that more Americans have a favorable view of former Vice President Dick Cheney than have a favorable view of Nancy Pelosi.

We here at the Our Country Deserves Better Committee have announced our intention to defeat as many of Nancy Pelosi's and Harry Reid's liberal Members of Congress in the upcoming congressional elections, and this is an additional sign of the progress we're making!

This week we've been on a major fundraising drive for our campaign to defeat the Pelosi/Reid Democrats. As of 10:56AM today 373 of you have contributed $15,105 to this effort for the week. Help us surpass our goal of $25,000 by the end of the day today. Please make a contribution to our campaign - CONTRIBUTE ONLINE HERE.

Your contributions will go to fund our ad campaigns against the Pelosi/Reid liberal candidates in this current congressional election cycle like this ad below. You'll enjoy the beginning, we promise:

The same poll also says that more Americans have an unfavorable view of Cheney than Pelosi. Funny a Republican (or, at least, anti-Democratic) organization trashing Pelosi by pointing out what a devil incarnate Cheney is.

I believe I'd prefer Cheney to Pelosi--on a gunnery target. There's a certain poetic justice to using his face as target practice (given that he did as much to Whittington's real face) that Pelosi's face lacks...

Well, 9% of those polled have no idea or no opinion of Cheney. Wherever this is it must be the happiest place in the country.

I have a higher opinion of Cheney than Pelosi. I'd rather have neither leading the country ... but would prefer Cheney over Pelosi without question.

'Higher opinion' is a bit of stretch, but I will suggest this.

A bad person who is good with money will ultimately cause less damage to an organization than a good person who is bad with money.
