The Internal Revenue Service has filed a tax lien seeking more than $800,000 from Sen. John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign, escalating a dispute over payroll taxes that the lawmaker's office blames on faulty government paperwork.

Politicians pay more taxes than you and your entire extended family put together over their entire lifetimes will ever pay.

So you're saying they leach so many billions of dollars from taxpayers that the taxes they pay is higher than what me and my entire family will earn?

Time for a pay cut in Congress! :D

Even if they did........ how much of that money is going towards THEIR paychecks?

How much of it is a down payment on a future job with a giant multinational, a "consulting" firm, or a lobbying partnership?

Obviously you don't know much about my extended family. Hell, even my immediate family.

Let me get this right.

We hate the IRS, we know the IRS is completely screwed up and unfair as Hell with taxpayers, if not downright evil.

But when these evil a-holes go after a Democrat in a dispute over taxes, you suddenly think the IRS is great?

Don't be hypocritical, folks. The IRS is bad for ALL AMERICANS- and we just look like douchebags when we get giddy because they are attacking "the other guy."

I'm not sure I see any cheerleading for the IRS around here... Can you be more specific?
