good lineup. No Schiff cause he's in Abu Dhabi. Hopefully Radley Balko talks about internet poker. Ron brought him to the House as a witness in favor of internet poker.

I like Balko for his work exposing the the crap surrounding the insane war on drugs... He's an advocate for Internet poker, but he's on the legalize it so we can tax and regulate it bus...

#1 It's already legal, they just went after the methods of funding.

#2 If they start taxing and regulating it it could hurt more than help.

#3 Therefore, it may be better to do nothing, but repealing the UIGEA and replacing it with nothing would be the best thing.

I didn't know that about Balko.

A+ article. I stand for #3, get rid of UIGEA. I have never once been ripped on by an internet poker sight, we don't need the government to protect us.

Honestly, I haven't been following this bill as much as I should, and am disappointed to learn RP is cosponsoring it. This bill is unConstitutional and he has no business putting his name on it, much less voting for it.

This bill has disaster written all over it. I'm supposed to believe Treasury Tim is better at picking poker operators than the free market. Give me a break.

isnt RP a co-sponsor because he wants to AMMEND it or something?

i'm sure that's what he's doing but you need to ask TheEngineer...

Well 7 lines of a 48 pages amend a previous bill. The rest of the 48 pages set up regulations and "consumer protections", basically handing all authority over the internet gambling industry to the Treasury. WTF RP?

Sounds great. Cannot wait. The last three shows in a row have been awesome, with very few technical glitches or nonsense. I think the Judge cracked some skulls after that disastrous show 5 weeks ago.
