Okay, I understand that Sotomayor (spelling) has made some ruling which essentially say the Bill of Rights only puts limits on the federal government and not on the states. If you follow that logic then any state has the right to limit speech, infringe our 2nd amendment rights, inflict cruel and unusual punishment and all the rest of the stuff TBOR is supposed to protect us from. Is it just me, or does anyone else see how horrifying it is to take this view - that the Bill of Rights only protects our right from the federal government and not from the states. This is just wrong. It could not be more wrong. Am I wrong????
