Really? You must have a lot of knowledge on the subject to be able to confidently respond in one word.

Why does it matter? Navy Seals are paid with stolen money.

I'd say- payment for service rendered.

Not like I care too much, but I'm sure SEALS get paid quite well regardless.

Being a Navy vet myself from the '80s the SEALS I knew really didn't do it for the money. They did it to be the best at what it is they did. What few choose to do.

These days it seems some go in for the experience and then go private sector or make a work out video.

$10,000 per head shot sounds good to me. So what if they did?

By the way it's an acronym so please use caps when spelling SEAL.... Hooya!

Actually they receive Navy base rate pay with a minimum for hazardous duty pay, when i was in the Navy hazpay was an extra $55 per month and I could only collect for one of the hazardous duties I preformed. SO you could have jump wings, Submarine pay, diver certification and be a SEAL and they'd give you $55 bucks. It may be more but not by much.

So am I the only one here that will address the fact the even their "legal" pay is looted money?

Oh, I'm on board with that. But, I stand corrected for thinking they made a lot of dough.

This.

Of course they stole the money. Anyone who works for the State obviously has no problem with violent theft anyway.

The Constitution calls for an Army and Navy so I'm ok with paying for it, wouldn't mind downsizing a bit. The SEALs did what they were trained to do and in my humble opinion they are worth much more than they'll ever see.

So is the constitution the cornerstone of morality? If the constitution allows it does that make it right? In your humble opinion does something being worth what taxes are paid for them make it ok to take my money and fund it?

When the Constitution called for an Army and a Navy it did not call for an income tax to pay for it.

this is true. the states would fund the troops, for the troops came from the state.
