Anyone watching this?
He just basically said he was forced out of his job because the "very top executives" of the CBS news division wanted a Republican president in office because it would benefit Viacom, and felt that Rather damaged the Republican appeal by doing his Abu Ghraib and Bush National Guard stories. Also mentions how the heads of the company screwed with his reporting of those stories, and delayed them for weeks.
Neil is being relatively polite, but he's not softballing him by ANY means. Basically spinning it to blame Rather for it, and saying he's guilty of doing what he accuses Fox news of doing (taking their talking points from the White House).
Now HERE is a Ron Paul supporter we need :)
