I just got this in an email from my uncle, and thought it was good enough to pass around :)

I'm going to shock some of you people, others I will probably anger
and some of you will be amused at what I'm going to say in this
column, but I don't care if I'm the last man standing I would be less
than honest and candid if I didn't say it.

People if we don't get real this country is going to slip right out
from under us, or rather be pulled right out from under us by a
President bent on socialism and a power mad Democratic Congressional
leadership.

The new Treasury Secretary can't even keep up with his income taxes
and he is asking for powers that nobody but kings and people like Hugo
Chavez have. He wants to be able to take over American companies that
aren't toeing the Obama line. That is a downright abomination to the
Constitution.

Nancy Pelosi changes the procedures of the House of Representatives so
the Democratic majority can rush legislation thorough. Is this what
the Congress is supposed to be about? Ms. Pelosi and Harry Reid, her
counterpart in the Senate, are a clear and present danger to the
republic.

Can't you see what's happening, America? They're going to try to force
you to join unions, screw up your healthcare, invade every facet of
your life, and you can believe it now or you can believe it
later after they raise your taxes, a lot.

And yet even with raising taxes they're not going to be able to raise
enough to service the debt they're making. The only way out is to
inflate the currency and folks when that begins in earnest, Katie bar
the door.

The American dollar, once the standard for the planet Earth will
become like green wallpaper and the price of goods and services will
rise exponentially.

Do you think this can't happen, America? Well the sorry truth is that
it is happening; in fact it's accelerating on a daily basis as a
socialist President and a panicked Congress flounder around with no
idea except to throw more money at it. After all, it's only paper,
they can always print some more.

Things are moving so fast now; things once thought unthinkable are
becoming commonplace as Obama, Pelosi, Reid and company consolidate
their power over America.

This may sound far-fetched, but Hugo Chavez was democratically
elected, and then started sowing the seeds of socialism in Venezuela.
He was recently successful in eliminating term limits for the
presidency, and is now essentially President for Life, as long as the
people keep voting him in. There's an old quote by a British historian
named Lord Acton, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

I don't like the role of alarmist, I love this country and always
believed in it, always thought that we could work out of any problem.
I've seen wars, recessions and national tragedy and the thought never
entered my mind that America wouldn't pull out of the problem, but
America is in a tailspin and if somebody doesn't grab the controls
soon it's going to crash.

And do you know what happens then?

Total government control. It's called dictatorship.

Charlie Daniels is a right-wing blow-hard. I liked him much more before he found religion. Pre-religion he was the long-haired country boy who wanted to be left alone. Then he found religion and started singing about hanging drug dealers and being all Rah Rah War's Great! Charlie Daniels can kiss my free ass.

I think maybe Charlie grew up and stopped smoking pot after a certain age...but you're right that he was a war cheerleader during the Bush years. He's still a good ol' boy at heart, though...

I worked for him a few times back in 2007 and he is awesome. I don't agree with him politically on a few issues, but he is a great musician. He has been touring for 50+ years and is a very friendly down to earth kind of guy!

While mixing his show there is no feeling in the world like having the sound of his fiddle at one's fingertips!!! :D

I ran into a couple of these types the other day, and it is one of the reasons that I left the church, although I still profess the Lord Jesus Christ as the Living God, but only through His Word.

The churches have been infiltrated by "pastors" who have been indoctrinated through seminarian marketing techniques to control their "flocks," and one of their dogmatic doctrines is: War at any Price because the Muslims hate us for our freedom.

I mention the word peace, and these people accuse me of being a un-American, and I have to defend my Americanism by reminding them that peacefulness is not weakness, but a very powerful form of strength.

Look at the Swiss Militia Model for the best example of peaceful preparedness with a history of having NEVER been attacked (of course, the Euro-Nazis have breached Switzerland's security by attacking their monetary freedoms, but up until that infiltration, the Swiss remained peacefully secure).

It is a pretty good letter, except that it looks to be part of the fomentation for a pending domestic race-war.

Sotomayor may very well be a collectivist tw*t, and certainly is not worthy of sitting on the SC, but her confirmation is already shaping up to be a divisive, and potentially violent, racial battle-zone.

If you thought the threat of gun confiscations was likely yesterday, wait until "whitey shoots a La Raza affiliate," and you will see roadblocks, checkpoints and confiscations in droves.

Napolitano and the rest of Prince Barry's minions have all of the systems and infrastructure in place, so we had best not provide them the auspices to do so, at least not in accordance with their timing.

Stick to the core issues of Liberty, and don't fall into the race-baiting trap.

That applies to you too Charlie, so go tell your pastor!
