Tom Woods was asked in a YAL interview about running- he seemed open to the idea.

Tom Woods running would be an absolutely stellar idea!!!

He's tremendously brilliant, a forceful speaker, and even has a lot of mainstream conservative cred because of Meltdown and The politically Incorrect Guide to American History.

I think we just found our guy! :D

I don't think Tom would enjoy being in the government. Trying to draft anyone from the Mises Institute seems oxymoronic.

He seemed to consider the idea of running when asked.

He should run for Governor of his State first...

Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore is going to be running for governor.

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=99306

I know a number of people here won't like that because of Moore's faith, but regardless of your theological views, the man has demonstrated his willingness to challenge the federal government (he even lost his job over it), and that's what we need in governors these days.

I say if anything, Dr. Woods should run for Congress.

I didn't really like Roy Moore when I read up on him myself. I dunno. Maybe I would vote for him, but I wouldn't really be campaigning for him or anything.
